Duckie isn't able to get an exersaucer - he is too tall for one, as they have a suggested maximum height of 30" and he was 26" two months ago. If he isn't yet 30", he will be soon, and $80 is a bit steep for a month or two of play, at most.
Instead we got a Bumbo, which seems just as good (if not better) for buying me some hands-free time to work here next to him - he can play without me holding on to him, but I am still close enough (while I work on the floor) to interact with him. It seems a good set-up.
Plus, ain't he cute in the thing?

i thought about getting max one of those seats, but he sits very well on his own now, so i wasn't sure he needed it. plus, he enjoys playing on the floor where he can move around (he can move from sitting to his tummy if he wants to, which he does pretty often, and he turns around in circles while sitting on his bum, which is pretty cute).
Declan can sit, but not 100% reliably, so I usually have to keep my hands free in case he face plants. This seat allows me to type while he plays. Well worth it for us.
