Went to campus today and got a big box of clothes from a prof I work for, who has a two year old. Some really good stuff, too, for 12mos-18mos. Also, a nice, sturdy jacket. All well appreciated.
But, really, it isn't just that it will save me money (though it does). I prefer getting clothes donations, even, to buying my own - it's the joy of opening a big box of unknown clothes. Who knows what gems will be unearthed? It also reminds me of the thrill while pregnant of stashing away my baby purchases, too - a nice new collection of things to mentally catalog and picture on him. It's more fun than shopping. It's exciting!
